Abstract
The biofeedback and modern neurofeedback toolsets are poised to be a pivotal asset in enhancing care for mental health disorders and physical health, among pediatric populations. These approaches rely upon operant conditioning and provide the patient with a unique opportunity to be engaged in their own treatment and develop an embodied sense of agency. While accessibility to biofeedback trained clinicians and resources is currently limited, the protocols are generally considered safe. Further research on the potential of biofeedback-based interventions with children and adolescents is merited.
