Abstract

Triceps tendon injuries are relatively rare, often associated with trauma and frequently misdiagnosed acutely. Treatment centers around proper diagnosis, which usually requires advanced imaging. Surgery is indicated for most full-thickness tears and for partial-thickness tears that fail conservative treatment. There are a variety of repair constructs available to the surgeon. The outcomes of early surgery are generally favorable, but delayed reconstructions are less predictable.
