Abstract
This article presents a novel use of OVADO, a data validation tool for railway systems configuration, and its application in an industrial setting. We describe how OVADO usage evolved from data validation to generation of equipment configuration data, and report on the application of this technique in a real industrial context: the deployment of the OCTYS VTPA system by Alstom on Line 6 of the Paris metro, operated by RATP. While this new method requires some adaptation in industrial processes in order to retain compliance with a SIL4 safety level, it improves translation quality and factorizes data generation and verification activities.
