Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of applying the coefficient of geographic height to determine wind loads in the mountainous areas of the Arctic. In the course of the study, the features of the formation of winds in the Arctic were analyzed. Special attention was paid to the procedure for collecting data to determine wind loads considering the coefficient of geographical height. Taking into account the existing developments and the scientific heritage of domestic and foreign authors, a method for determining the coefficient of geographic height is proposed, an algorithm for studying wind parameters is indicated, and special emphasis is given to calculating the dynamic component of the wind load.
