Abstract
Violence as a result of aggression and/or anger is a ubiquitous problem that is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Aggression and violence may occur as a continuum initiated by anger or as individual distinct behaviors. The bio-psycho-social context must be considered when scrutinizing the etiology of anger, aggression, and violence. This is important because the control or treatment of adverse behaviors must address their causes. Treatment flows from the etiological diagnosis. The knowledge and understanding of the causes, pathology, and treatments for harm-related behaviors has progressed rapidly in recent years. However, keeping abreast of current research can be difficult so we have compiled tables of the resources recommended by active practitioners and researchers. These tables include data on regulatory bodies, professional societies, organizations, books, and other relevant resources totaling over 200 recommended resources including more than 100 websites and over 100 books.
