Abstract

Osteomas are benign bone-forming neoplasms most commonly encountered in the sinonasal cavity, but they pose a particular dilemma when located in the frontal sinus. Frontal sinus osteomas are uniquely juxtaposed to critical structures such as the orbit and cranial cavity, which makes surgical resection challenging. Furthermore, the surgical management of frontal sinus osteomas has significantly evolved over the past several decades. While there is still a role for the traditional open bicoronal approach in certain cases, the indications for a combined or purely endoscopic technique have greatly expanded.
