Abstract
Malaysia is moving to an endemic stage with the easing of many of the restrictions and schools operating as normal. Whilst this signals some return to normalcy, the issue of inequality and the question about fairness in the context of education for children from marginalised communities is more apparent. It suggests that community agency is one possible way forward in dealing with the inequalities to be cognizant of the injustices and enable those involved to address the issues of fairness adequately and sustainably.
