Abstract
This paper presents ideas and practical proposals are presented on more efficient use of digital technologies in the interests of strategic maneuvering in the business activity of the economy, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the transition to a new digital structure, we found that for effective strategic maneuvering in the business activity of the economy and overcoming its today’s turbulent state, it is required: first, the large-scale use of digital technologies as a component of modern integration processes in the international scientific space in order to minimize the problems and strengthening the economic potential of the country; secondly, the use of digital technologies as the “nuclei” of the interaction of science, business and governments, which contributes to the growth of a new strategic management system based on improving the scenario tools for forecasting, allowing to identify trends and incentives for the development of cluster zones in the regional development of the economy; third, the accelerated use of digital technologies caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result of the consistent implementation of a coordinated strategy for the development of the Russian economy based on global cooperation in all fields of activity; fourth, to introduce “digital style” in strategic public administration, which includes specific measures to develop digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence technologies, in order to determine, identify and eliminate barriers, stimulate public and private participation in the introduction of digital technologies, as well as schedule a program to mitigate negative or unintentional consequences on the development of digital technologies, which will make it easier and focus on the country’s current efforts, making the way to the digital future in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
