Abstract
Bronchospasm occurs quite commonly in pediatric anesthesia cases. It is important for anesthesiologists to be able to recognize and appropriately manage bronchospasm. This chapter reviews common causes of apnea post-extubation, the signs and symptoms of bronchospasm, and the intraoperative management of bronchospasm, including disposition planning.
