Abstract
Conceptual entailment is the process through which a conclusion is drawn from one or several concepts. In its simplest form, it takes the form of an inference that can be deduced from a set of characteristic features attached to the concept. This characteristic set therefore plays a role analogous to that of a conditional base. The framework of non-monotonic inference relations leads to the rigorous definition of some basic notions used in concept analysis and allows in this domain the establishment of some original and non-trivial results.
