Abstract
This summative chapter reviews the preceding chapters for trends and themes from contributors’ chapters concerning Taiwan’s Senior Learning Movement. Based on earlier authors’ observations, features of this social learning movement are discussed. A number of serious issues have arisen amid the contested domain of the establishment and sustainability of the Active Aging Learning Centers, one of the most prevalent being how to convince wider society that a new era of aging has indeed emerged. Further issues are discussed and recommendations made for the future.
