Abstract

The stimulating effect of the aqueous solutions of growth stimulants Ribav-Extra and Zircon of different concentrations have been studied and the doses activating germinative energy, laboratory germination of seeds and the growth of biometric parameters of sprouts of Manchurian fir (Abies holophylla Maxim.) have been identified. It was found, that the stimulator Ribav-Extra was effective for the germinative energy of seeds of Manchurian fir when using all the concentrations, comprising 13.3–21.3% (excess compared to the control – 33–113%); for laboratory germination – at the concentrations of 1·3·10–3−1·6·10–3 ml/l, amounting to 43.1–53%, where the indicators exceeded the control by 12.2–38%. Zircon, respectively, had a more active effect at the concentrations of 1·2·10–3−1·7·10–3 and 1·4·10–3−1·6·10–3 ml/l, comprising 11–16 и 42–47%, exceeding the control by 10–60 и 9.4–22.4%. Seed quality classes had increased: from the third to the second and the first. For the growth of sprouts along the length Ribav-Extra had a more positive effect when using all solution concentrations (excess to the control – 7.1–33.3%); Zircon – when using the concentrations of 1·2·10–3−1·5·10–3 ml/l, exceeding the control by 7.1–25%. For the weight of sprouts both drugs were effective at the concentrations of 1·3·10–3−1·5·10–3 ml/l, exceeding the control values by 2.7–28.8 and 1.3–25.4%.
