Abstract
The study focuses on the current use of forestry fund land resources in the Amur Region. It has been established that the total area of the region's land is 36,190.8 thousand hectares, the largest part of which - 30,581.6 thousand hectares - is the forest land, accounting for 84% of the region’s total land area. Current situation with the forest land use in the Amur Region has been analyzed. The total area of forest land is 25,477.2 thousand hectares, while 5,038.5 thousand hectares fall on non-forest land. Contractual relations are actively developing, under which the main types of permitted use include the geological study of subsurface and development of mineral deposits. However, sustainable forest management implies such maintenance and use of the forestry fund, which can preserve its productivity, recreational potential, biodiversity and thepotential to perform environmental, economic and social functions in the present and future.
