Abstract

The electrical response of the polymer nanocomposite is based on the knowledge of dielectric and conductive properties of carbon nanotube polymer nanocomposite. Generally most polymer matrices are excellent insulating materials, they act as a dielectric materials only with the incorporation of the nano-reinforcing fillers. This chapter details the influence of carbon nanotubes on both the dielectric and conductive properties of polymer nanocomposite along with brief idea about dielectrics, AC as well as DC conductivity, and the factors affecting these. Dielectric and electrical applications of polymer nanocomposites are also incorporated.
