Abstract
The introduction of ultrasound guidance has been a marked advance in the practice of minimally invasive treatments and regional anesthesia and it has gained popularity as an adjunct or alternative to nerve stimulation technique. Real-time guidance with direct visualization of the target and surrounding structures has been shown to improve procedures’ efficiency while decreasing complications and patient discomfort.
