Abstract
Mainstreaming Blue Green Infrastructure (BGI) presents significant opportunities to address multifaceted urban problems, from climate change to inequality. However, this task faces entrenched barriers, in particular relating to politico-institutional challenges. Drawing on insights from international debates on sustainable urbanization and case study research conducted in Argentina and Australia, this entry provides an overview of the barriers, blind spots, and facilitators to advancing a BGI agenda in both Global North and Global South contexts.
