Abstract
The Bhagavad Gita states in stark terms, “Those who hold wrong views... become the destroyers of the world” (xvi: 9) and are destroyers of themselves, and “The Self.” Today, this scene is, seemingly, unfolding, even to the destruction of life on Earth. The author describes how Gandhi had an answer to this crucial issue, long overlooked by us and how there is a growing movement to supply the “new story” emerging from quantum theory. This “new story” is, actually, the oldest story of the fundamental unity of existence carried in the Wisdom Tradition, but not adopted in popular understanding. When understood in its full depth, the wisdom of Gandhian nonviolence brings the “new story” into the purview of the minds and practice of modern people.
