Abstract

It is known that engineering and instrument making belong to the high-tech production and have a number of features that determine a specific approach to the automated management of production system. The paper shows that these production systems should be managed according to the quality parameter with the simultaneous reduction of time and material costs. It also proposes using the product life cycle theory as a methodological basis for analyzing activity processes. One of the most important parameters that determine the efficiency of production systems is the time interval from the beginning of product design to its release. The paper considers measures to reduce the release time of a new product sample. The author identifies the main measures for the implementation of a process approach to the management of automated production systems. He also determines the requirements for technological divisions of a production system, and for personnel and personnel policy in a company.
