Abstract

Hospitals, institutions and even whole countries have different problems when dealing with end of life care. In the west there may be lack of access to formal palliative care; in poorer countries there may be more concern about lack of basic medications such as morphine, or even worse, lack of water and proper sanitation. The chapter addresses how to bring teams together to develop ongoing pathways to improving end of life care by identifying issues, discussing frustrations, and developing a plan of action to tackle particular issues.
