Abstract

This chapter looks at ways of treating the severely worn dentition where a fixed approach, whether adhesive or conventional, is considered inadvisable. Overdentures or variations of such dentures can restore form and function to patients who have localised or generalised wear. Considerable care in the assessment, planning and provision of such removable treatment is needed to ensure a successful outcome for patients.
