Keratoconus

Abstract

Keratoconus (KC) and other ectatic diseases have been investigated for more than 150 years. The advent of refractive surgery and the emergence of new treatment modalities for KC have boosted the developments in this field. A vast variety of presentation and progression might be found, and different terminologies have been applied to different presentations. This chapter discusses nomenclature of corneal ectatic diseases along with diagnostic methods. We also present anecdotal clinical examples.
