Abstract
Gallbladder pathology in children is uncommon, though obesity-related gallstones are becoming increasingly apparent in Western society. The treatment is surgical with laparoscopic cholecystectomy now the standard approach. Stones in the common bile duct are more problematic and treatment needs to be individualized to both center, facilities, experience, and patient. Ideally, this should be ERCP-extraction and removal followed by definitive cholecystectomy.

- 2.
Jean-Martin Charcot (1825–1893): The founder of modern neurology, with many syndromes and signs to his credit. Worked at the Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris.
