Abstract
Leadership studies present a myriad of theoretical proposals, producing a collection of profiles, measurement models, and development strategies. This diversity of concepts has the consequence of the risk of confusing academics and professionals who have a history of little approximation with the theme. In order to reduce this risk, the objective of this chapter is to carry out a systematic review of the literature on the theme of leadership, offering an emphasis on internationally validated measurement instruments, comparing the proposals between the profiles and the psychometric quality achieved by the scales. This effort will assist the reader in identifying the most appropriate proposal for their purposes, be it in the preparation of academic studies or in demands for organizational diagnosis.
