Abstract

This paper focuses on the study of the development of production of “Eco-tires” (“green tires”) for the manufacture of which the “environmentally friendly” rubber is used. A modern tire must meet high standards. Thus, reducing fuel consumption of a car is ensured by tires with low rolling resistance, and the improving of traffic safety conditions is achieved by increasing the grip of auto rubber to the road surface, the compliance with environmental laws helps to reduce the tire wear during the operation. Such requirements for the tire can be achieved through the use of high-performance rubbers, such as butadiene-styrene rubber, with medium and high contents of vinyl links. The use of r-SBR with high content of vinyl links in treads allows to achieve good grip to the road surface, rolling resistance, and wear resistance. The economic calculation of the construction of installation is made in the research. It is shown that the payback period is 6 years 5 months with an investment of 420 million rubles.
