Abstract

Osteosarcoma of the pelvis is a relatively rare entity with overall poor prognosis and survival. Patients often present with advance disease and metastasis due to delays in diagnosis secondary to pelvic anatomy and symptoms associated with common orthopedic conditions. Treatment consists of chemotherapy and surgical resection. It is important to achieve a negative margin but due to location, proximity to viscera and neurovascular structures, and large tumor size at presentation, this is often challenging.
