Abstract
The chapter tackles two crucial pillars of smart and successful innovation management. The first one is related to managerial aspects of innovation policy in the organisation and essential aspects of building the innovative culture and climate. This first step represents a prerequisite, which mobilises a second pillar, creation of concrete innovations—new products, services, processes and business models. The chapter presents main steps and concrete methods, which should lead to rapid innovation development. They are based on clearly defined challenges and opportunities related to the market, other customers’ needs and enabling technologies.
