Abstract
In order to study the automatic and semi-automatic extraction of buildings from aerial images, this paper analyzes the straight-line snake algorithm, adds an average connected distance to its internal energy function, modifies the second-order term, normalizes the external energy function, and adds an external force, Then the improved Snake algorithm and greedy algorithm are used to extract buildings. The method can extract buildings automatically. The experimental results show that the new algorithm can improve the extraction efficiency.
