Abstract
The facial nerve is often impaired, and its evaluation can be complex. This chapter provides an insight into the relevant anatomy, suggestions for localizing lesions based on symptoms and guidelines on how to image the nerve adequately. The potential causes of facial nerve palsy and its differentials are discussed in an intuitive manner.
