Abstract
The impact of disease on the health of individuals across all ages will continue to happen. As we contemplate the management of disease on the health of individuals, we need to consider intervention that will slow down the impact. Active engagement of the individual which is central to self-management is key to how we address our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. This book is an approach to addressing some of the ways in which self-management can be used as an intervention to assist individuals in managing their health. The chapters in this book cover different aspects of how self-management and how it can be effectively be used by various sectors to change their approach to managing health.
