Abstract
One of the key concepts emerging in today’s market across the globe is Internet of Things (IoT). Like Internet has transformed businesses and lifestyles in the last 20 years, IoT will disrupt our organization’s relationship with its stakeholders. IoT can help us to innovate new processes and initiatives to increase our organization’s business performance and create customer delight with new products and services. This chapter deals with the concept of technology, how technology connects with cities, data collection from various analyst firms, and digital strategy and ends with challenges. Since IoT offers vast area of research in many fields, this chapter will guide researchers to understand the boundary of IoT and to identify potential research areas and assist them the following objectives
