Integrating Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development

Abstract

There is a vast field of studies that analyzes the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR), job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of workers. However, research pointing to organizational actions related to CSR can contribute to the knowledge in this field. This study investigated the perception of CSR-related concepts by workers from the operational unit of an energy company and identified the actions of the company that contribute to forming this perception. A survey was conducted with a sample of 50 workers. The results show three different points of view regarding what a socially responsible company does and the possible actions the company can do to address these points. Such findings are of great value for the management of CSR and human capital in organizations.
