C11orf95-MKL2 fusion gene: chromosome 11 open reading frame 95 is a protein coding gene (diseases associated with C11orf95 include RELA fusion-positive ependymoma and cellular ependymoma). MKL2 (myocardin-like protein 2, also known as MRTFB: myocardin-related transcription factor B) acts as a transcriptional coactivator of serum response factor (SRF); it is required for skeletal myogenic differentiation, and its alterations are associated with chondroid lipoma and extraskeletal chondroma.
