Abstract
Male dyspareunia is defined as pain associated with sexual intercourse. Sexual function is regarded by many men as a vital and critical part of their overall health and wellness (Cohen et al. Sex Med Rev 4:53–62, 2016). Therefore, male dyspareunia can have a significant impact of patient’s quality of life and relationship. There are several causes of male dyspareunia. Different pelvic floor dysfunctions could lead to dyspareunia; thus, a clear diagnosis and subsequent proper management appear difficult. Many causes of male dyspareunia exist and a multimodal approach to this condition appears of utmost importance.
This chapter will focus on epidemiology, aetiology, diagnosis and management of male dyspareunia.
