Abstract
Pediatric swallowing disorder, or dysphagia, affects many children, especially those with clinically complex medical histories. Functional endoscopic evaluation of swallowing is an instrumental evaluation of dysphagia that has been shown to be safe and reliable in infants and children. This chapter will discuss the instrumentation, the technique, and the evaluation, as well as explore some of the more important literature showing evidence to support FEES as a diagnostic examination in pediatric dysphagia.
