Abstract
One of the consequences of globalization is mobility as clearly demonstrated in the field of healthcare with health professionals migrating from developing countries to the developed world. Furthermore, patients from developed countries are increasingly seeking medical treatment in developing countries. Such medical tourism is actively promoted in some developing countries such as Thailand and India by offering wealthy patients from developed regions a package of medical interventions.
