Abstract

The prominent ear can produce significant social and psychological effects on an individual. Through the last century, many procedures have been described to correct this deformity. In this review, we will discuss the development of the ears, the ear’s normal aesthetics, the prevelance of a protruded ear and its causes, along with the most common methods used to correct this condition.
