Abstract
Balloon dacryocystoplasty is a safe, simple, and effective procedure for congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction. It can be performed as an initial or secondary procedure following previous unsuccessful probing and irrigation in cases of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction. We aim to explain the essential steps of the procedure, the potential side effects, and an example of the dictated procedure note.
