Abstract
20 years ago the European Commission announced eLearning to be a strategic plan for developing new trends in education. This was also important for the Czech Republic. In the last decades, blended learning and eLearning have become common part of the tertiary education. The article describes the research of the development of eLearning and blended learning at Czech universities, as it is reflected in annual reports of these institutions of higher learning. The findings from the monitored annual reports of public universities indicate the importance of the use of eLearning in university education all over the Czech Republic. Almost 20 years of the existence of eLearning education, as well as numerous conferences on this topic, prove its effectiveness for higher learning.
