Abstract

Knowledge of basic anatomy of the female genital system is of great importance for understanding of respective congenital anomalies and surgical treatments. In this review, we discuss the main aspects of the anatomy of the uterus, uterine (Fallopian) tubes, and ovaries and, when possible, associate them with the main congenital anomalies that affect these organs of the urogenital system.
