Abstract

Currently, Behçet’s disease is considered as a dysregulation of the immune response occurring in genetically predisposed individuals submitted to a variety of stimuli, including environmental ones. The result is an inflammatory change of blood vessels. The inflammatory change affects mainly veins, but arteries are not spared undergoing thrombotic and aneurysmal lesions.
