Abstract

Renal duplex sonography (RDS) has become the screening test of choice to detect hemodynamically significant renal artery stenosis and renal artery occlusion. In addition to the role of RDS in the detection of native disease, it has become a valuable method to confirm intraoperative technical success of open renal artery repair as well as a follow-up surveillance technique to evaluate both open operative repair and percutaneous intervention. This chapter will summarize these applications and the anticipated results of each.
