Abstract
In this chapter we analyze the two visits that Erwin Schrödinger made to Spain in the years 1934 and 1935. We discuss them in view of the situation of physics in Spain in the 1930's, as well as the professional situation of Schrödinger in those years.
Si un hombre nunca se contradice, será porque nunca dice nada.
Miguel de Unamuno, quoted from a conversation

Acknowledgements
I want to thank especially the organizers of the inspiring meeting on the biographical approach to the history of physics we attended in Bad Honneff in May 2018: Christian Forstner, Mark Walker and Dieter Hoffmann, as well as Arne Schirrmacher, the commentator on my paper. He offered me some valuable remarks and references to help improve the written version. I also want to thank Marià Baig, Michael Bunn, Tony Duncan, Gonzalo Gimeno and Mercedes Xipell for their help and assistance during the preparation of my talk.
