Abstract
Mechanical circulatory support is an evolving technology that changed the paradigm for management of critically ill patients secondary to cardiogenic shock from different etiology with improved outcomes. The significant advances in the field during the recent years resulted in better, safer, and easier to implant devices that allow more reliable and durable support.
