Abstract
Infections of the hand can involve any tissue from skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles and tendons, anatomical spaces, or the skeleton in the form of osteomyelitis.
Infection can involve the pulp space, nail edges or the nail bed, tendon sheath, or deeper infection involving the bone. The hand is such an important part of the body that infection has to be tackled early and appropriately with surgical and non-surgical means.
