Abstract
Epiphora may result from reflex tear overproduction, eyelid malposition, or nasolacrimal outflow obstruction. In cases of the latter, external dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) may be performed to improve tear drainage by anastomosing the nasolacrimal sac to the nasal cavity.
