Abstract
This concluding chapter offers an analysis of the presented findings, connects them to the history of climate services, and provides an overview of future perspectives. It considers current and future trends in climate science as well as the need to mitigate climate change, which is also impacting the development of climate services. The paper suggests that a major challenge by climate services is to identify the means and tools on how best to support adaptation to and mitigation of climate change.
