Abstract
The paper carries out an analysis of the single server queueing system with Poisson arrival pattern, Erlang service pattern and partially ignored interruption. Interruptions are the outcome of the influence of various environmental factors on the service process. These environmental factors are states of a Markov chain. The replacement or the repair of the server is decided by the environmental factors. The resumption or restart of the interrupted service after the repair of the server is based on the realization of random clock or interruption clock started at the onset of interruption. Even though every interruption varies the service rate, the impact of interruption caused by a few environmental factors are indecisive. The paper ventures to establish important performance measures by means of Matrix a Analytic Method. The analytical approach is validated with the aid of illustrations and numerical results are computed.
