Abstract

In recent years, flexible alternative current transmission systems (FACTS) devices as well as static VAr compensator (SVC) have been used increasingly for dynamic voltage control. Lack of coordination between SVC and power system stabilizer (PSS) parameters can oppose bad effects and generator voltage as well as angular oscillation generator, so simultaneous coordination of stabilizer parameters and SVC is of great interest. In this paper, the problem of stability of a model power system is presented with SVC and PSS block diagrams modeling. Then, the objective function of optimal performance of the model network is to provide stability in various faults. Genetic algorithm (GA) is used to determine the parameters of control systems. Finally, by simulation in MATLAB software, analysis will be reviewed and approved.
