Abstract

Genital lesions are a commonly encountered problem, especially in clinic. This teaching script leads the learner through an approach to thinking about genital lesions. We emphasize how to organize them into different infectious causes, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and diagnostic testing for each. We also discuss some of the more common causes of noninfectious genital lesions.
