Abstract

Syncope in the setting of bifascicular block or left bundle branch block raises the etiologic possibility of intermittent complete heart block. However other diagnostic possibilities co-exist, including vasovagal syncope, sick sinus syndrome, and carotid sinus syncope. Either empiric pacing or further diagnostic attempts with tilt tests or implantable loop recorders are reasonable management strategies.
